				Dan Williams
Mr. Williams moved to New York City to work for the iconic new retailing experiment D. F. Sanders after gaining home furnishings experience at the nation’s first Room & Board store in his native Denver, Colorado. Greg Turpen and David Sanders revolutionized the home furnishings/accessories industry by showcasing the best product designs under one roof in SOHO. That education/introduction into the New York design world lead to Mr. Williams’ next position at Barneys New York Chelsea Passage where he honed his craft selling luxury table top lines and European antiques. In addition, he also worked for Dennis Miller Associates promoting artist and architect-created furniture to the trade, including such lines as Clodagh, Patrick Naggar, Wendell Castle, Laura Kirar, David Rockwell, Morris Lapidus…
While expanding his knowledge/skill set studying architecture at City College, Mr. Williams began an internship at Ronnette Riley Architect. This entry level position rapidly progressed in scope and responsibility, delivering real world experience for how to complete a project on time and at budget. The size of the firm provided Mr. Williams with the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects – university libraries, county courthouses, corporate office interiors, retail storefronts, hotel lobbies, single family residences (see below). This diverse foundation enabled Mr. Williams to secure a more senior position at Stephen Alton Architect where his design recommendations were incorporated in to a number of upscale hospitality and multifamily buildings.
Today, dan williams designs creates one of a kind environments for corporate clients and individuals seeking custom design solutions, cost effective resources, hands on construction administration, attentive personal service…that respectfully enhance their particular project.
